SPN new media tvThe State Policy Network, of which GRIH is a member, has recently launched NewMediaTV.org, a new online TV channel that facilitates the exchange of information between SPN Members and their friends. The TV station uses new media and Web 2.0 technologies to bring programming to the SPN membership. The online media outlet is also easy to use as there is no software to install and no hassles to view live streaming video or archived shows.

"SPN is excited to introduce NewMediaTV.org as a resource for supporters of personal and economic liberty. The new online video Web site features seminars, discussions, and streaming from events," said Nicole Williams, Management and Technology Advisor for SPN. "Video and live programming is a great way to communicate. With NewMediaTV.org, SPN members can quickly and effectively share information and expertise."

For example a recent show, "New Media Mania", featured Emily Zanotti of the Sam Adams Alliance. She delivered a 60-minute blogger outreach presentation live from SAA’s Chicago headquarters. "New Media Mania" is a regular NewMediaTV.org program.

One of the most useful features at NewMediaTV.org: Viewers can participate during the Q&A session of each live program. They simply type their question into the chat window on the video screen.

NewMediaTV.org uses Mogulus streaming video technology and displays it through a standard WordPress blog. Both systems are free to use and relatively easy to set up. Williams states, "Fire up your computer and join other liberty lovers who are watching, and learning, at NewMediaTV.org."
